Your First Visit

History & Thorough Examination

The first visit starts with the patients history, then there’s a thorough exam that includes orthopaedic and neurological testing and static and motion palpation – To find where the problem (subluxation) is.

Most people are surprised that the chiropractor can, with a light touch, pick up where the problem is. If there’s no recent trauma, the patients then receive their first chiropractic adjustment. Then you’ll most probably be referred to get X-rays, which are bulk billed.

The Most Appropriate Technique

Adjustments are applied specifically only to segments or joints that require it, according to exam findings. Depending on Dr Skar’s (Chiropractor) recommendation or based on patient’s preference, the most appropriate chiropractic technique will be chosen.

Usually this first visit lasts 20-30 minutes. Are you a good candidate for today’s chiropractic care? Find out by calling today!
